Fall 2009

Our second sale was a great success! We couldn't return to Oaks Park, but we found a bigger and even better location. We had a great time and this sale was much better organized. Our new building sported glass windows all along the front of Sandy Blvd allowing a great view of our large items. We had a play area for the kids and that was fun. We tried to do a cafe, but that wasn't as successful. I think our shoppers spent all their money at the sale and headed home to eat.

Our biggest news was the news! Shellie Bailey-Shah from Channel 2 news did an interview and 3 live spots on the Thursday evening news. We were so excited to have a news crew thanks to one of our consignors. We had one person come from Astoria to buy a crib that was featured on the news. One of the other news anchors came down to shop too. Another shopper came just to buy the high chair Shellie mentioned was the best deal. All in all, we had a great sale and are looking forward to our 3rd sale in the same location.
